Maria Angelita Quero-Rufin
(a.k.a. Jeng, Angeli, Angelita, Angge, Maria, Angie) has been an employee of
the Insurance Commission for more than two decades. She was a member of the
Technical Working Group for the Financial Literacy on Microinsurance and has
participated in various efforts to develop and promote Microinsurance.
She resides in Bacoor,
Cavite with her family – in a modest subdivision where she found a good sense
of community, but which has not discovered yet the value of Microinsurance and
Mutual Benefit Associations. With this book, she hopes to bring to her community
leaders’ attention the said people-empowering tools, and thus, further improve
the peace, cohesiveness, and relative stability among the residents
there.
